Everyone wants a dazzling smile. Teeth stains can dull that smile. Dr. Alvarez can whiten your teeth better than any over-the-counter kit available on the market. In-home whitening strips or gels are available at almost any store, but those treatments can last for days or even weeks, and the results are disappointing.

The disappointing results are due to the strength of the over-the-counter kits. Hydrogen peroxide is used as the whitening agent in all teeth whitening kits, but store-bought kits do not contain enough hydrogen peroxide to give the desired results.

Dr. Alvarez’s teeth whitening can provide up to 10 shades whiter and in a shorter amount of time. The stronger professional formula is not available to the general public because it needs to be monitored by a professional to prevent damage to tooth enamel. Weaker store-bought kits and especially whitening toothpaste cannot be left on the teeth long enough to affect any considerable whitening. Whitening toothpaste that says it has no hydrogen peroxide contains only chemicals and polishing agents to scrub stains from teeth. Without bleaching, the best result you would be able to achieve would be approximately one shade lighter, and this is not usually what patients want.
